Le Guaite di Noemi 'Thano' Rosso Veronese IGT 2017
GRAPE: 40% Corvina, 40% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella
VINIFICATION: Grapes were harvested in mid-September. The grapes are destemmed, crushed and cold soaked, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tank with cultivated yeasts and simultaneous malolactic fermentation.
The wine is than aged in steel tanks for about 36 months followed by a long bottle ageing, minimum 36 months until ready for release.
TASTING NOTES: Thano is the estate’s freshest example of Valpolicella, only aging in steel and bottle, but still with plenty of power and ripe flavour. Smooth and seductive, with an appealing sapidity, optimal acidity and frank notes of ripe fruits, spices, a lick of liquorice and cola.
HOW AND WHEN: Goes perfectly with many foods, including pasta, risotto, roast beef, soft & medium aged cheeses or even a rustic soup!
Serving at 16-18 C
