Elena Walch Cabernet Sauvignon “Istrice” DOC Alto Adige 2020 750ML

Elena Walch is considered a pioneer in Alto Adige, not only for the fact that she was one of the most important female winemakers in Italy, but also for introducing innovation into the region. Marrying into the Walch family she gained access to some of the best parcels of fruit, and subsequently sought to improve production from soil to bottle.

Cabernet “Istrice” comes in a bright garnet red, with intriguing spicy aromas reminiscent of red berries and cherries combined with seductive spices such as white pepper and chocolate. On the palate it surprises with great and fresh sapidity, precise and elegant tannic structure together with a fruity and spicy density with a persistent finish.
