The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is one of the oldest wines of Italy. One of the most prestigious wines of Tuscany It was the first Italian wine to be granted DOCG appellation in July 1980. We produce very traditional wines, using only the native grapes varieties that since centuries are grown in Montepulciano.

Grape: 90% Sangiovese 10% Canaiolo Nero and Mammolo

Ageing and Refining: Aged for 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels (15-20hl) and then at least 6 months in bottles before being released for sale.

Tasting Notes: Ruby red colour with orange hints, delicate and intense bouquet with pronounced notes of violet. Dry, rounded, harmonious and full of fruit, with a lovely mouth’ filling finish. It’s also considered a “meditation” wine.

Crociani Vino Nobile Riserva How and When: Well-structured and flavourful dishes, such as pasta with game, mushroom or truffle sauce, grilled or stewed red meats, mature cheeses. Serving temperature 16 - 18 C
