Villa Bucci Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Riserva DOCG 2020 750ML
One of Ian D'agata's Top 'Italian Wines of the Year 2023'!
Grape: Verdicchio 100%
Ageing potential: up to 15 years
Serving temperature and food pairing: 15 - 17 °C. Can be enjoyed with aperitivo, pasta, fish
risotto, white meat, and mild cheeses
A delicate bouquet that blends spring flowers with gingery spices and crushed rocks. It’s seamless and silky in feel, with saline minerals up front, giving way to crisp orchard fruits. This is more savory than sweet, finishing with admirable length and youthful tension. The final sensation is one of liquid stone under an air of rosemary.”

The family have owned land in the famed Castelli di Jesi area of the Marche region as far back as the 1700s. Even though they have been growing and making wine for over three hundred years, it wasn’t until 1983 that the present owner Ampelio Bucci began to bottle the wine under the family name. Bucci is a true pioneer of some of the most elegant and complex white wines in Italy, and is one of the most highly awarded producers in the country.
The underground cellars provide the perfect conditions for the traditional winemaking techniques followed at Bucci. Without the need for refrigeration, the wines are fermented either in stainless steel or large Slavonian oak vats. new oak is used for the elevage, and the wines are bottled late to allow a slow evolution and integration.
